I spent a couple of hours going through this fabrics market in Paris. Looking for something not too lightweight, not transparent, not too heavy and that wouldn't require too much ironing, and that isn't a dust/hair magnet. I own 4 cats and a dog. Even though I will turn Sith, my cloak will be pet-friendly.
Found this polyesther/cotton blend for around 25 euros a yard. Yeah, I know.
Madness. And it's only close enough! Finding the exact same fabric as Slave1pilot's cloak was turning out to be a real problem, not financially, it just wasn't there.

Meshing the visor and stuff
The mask has found its way home!!!
For this kind of mask I wanted to try getting a black mesh type of material for the eyes. As seen from screen captures, there are no reflections on them which means we can't use a tinted plastic lense. While rummaging through my house I found this:
Folded a dozen times, here's the temporary result under different lighting:
After I was done messing around with that, I started planning how I would mod the armor.
I will use some sealing material to give it more oomph.

"Sitting around, being overwhelmed" Day
Today after a long work week and a lot of plastic trimming, I realized I was out of E6000 glue, so I ordered some.
Then after getting a mail from Nathan that my mask was sent and on its way to here, I thought "yaaay" and ordered:
The tactical gloves:
The balaclava:
Two knife pouches: (5.5x11x2 cm)
I already have these boots: (but they're gross and worn)

Trim Job Part 1
The KWD kit for the TOR Jedi armor arrived a couple of weeks ago. So, juggling work, gaming (ok that could have been cut down) and basic surviving, I began trimming down the pieces.
All of the armor parts are directly transferable from Jedi to Sith, except for some.
The ab piece. The "fake" belt pouches will need to be removed and filled in. I will attempt to do with using ABS paste. The central buckle will have to be replace by an accurate, and detached one.

The hand plate. Too large for my own, and visually inaccurate when compared to that of the Acolytes. The "spike" placements are set too far apart, for one. I will attempt to narrow down the outer edges if only to have something to wear ontop of my gloves.
The chestplate. Only the central "O" piece has to be removed. Done!

Ready to make a list of things
The KW Designs armor kit has been ordered, as well as the Slave1Pilot mask.
Now, the things that I need to get:
CLOAK - Goddamnit if I can't find a decent Acolyte cloak anywhere I'm willing to make it myself. I can drive all the way downtown to the cloth market and look for something suitable.
FINGER ARMOR - Just finger armor, really.
AB "PLATE" - There is someone I have in mind for it but I'm not sure he'd be willing to make detail latex pieces without his kit.
NECK SEAL - Same issue.
BOOTS - I need a cheap, black pair of combat boots.
GLOVES - Tactical black gloves, preferably neoprene or poly blend.
BELT POUCHES - Sounds easy but really isn't. I might need to find any kind of rectangular or square pouches that I paint and weather to dark gray.
CANISTER THINGY - It looks like a small E11 scope. But I ain't disassembling my E11. I think it's supposed to be a comlink.
LIGHTSABER - Holy hell it's complicated to pick one.

Contacts, emails, pm's...
Wolfgang, Nathan and soon the Vault will be involved in this project.
My wallet is shaking in fear! The path to the dark side is scary.

One day, I had an idea
Today I decided I'd be serious about making another Star Wars costume. Any other fandom is okay, I just need consistency with this hobby.
I don't like Jedi, but I don't love evil characters.
I like bright lights but I don't like bright colors.
I like amor and masks, and I want people to believe it could be anybody in there.
The answer is...
So far I've gathered enough information to plan ahead, financially. The armor is going to be a problem (adjusting, probably reshaping certain parts to fit my lower-than-average build) and the custom lightsaber is going to burn a hole through my account.
